How to recover .sbg (raw SBG data) directly from the internal memory?

Mishandling/malfunction during operation can lead to the .sbg file being absent from the USB flash drive. The operator will need to recover the .sbg from the internal memory (SBG Quanta board). To do so, follow the below steps:

  1. Download and install any FTP software (like WinSCP,  Filezilla)
  2. Connect to the SBG IMU board
  3. Open your FTP software.
  4. On "Host" (upper left), write down 192.168.9.252 and click on "Quickconnect".

  6. On the right panel, double click on the corresponding mission folder you're missing a .sbg file. Capture décran 2024-02-09 153310
  7. Simply drag and drop all the files needed from the right panel to the left. Make sure you are in the folder of your mission flight in the left panel.
You need at least a .000 and a .json file. If there is a .001 file, it means your flight was across two time slots (ex. from 8:55 to 9:05, .000 is for 8:55 to 8:59:59 and .001 for 9:00:00 to 9:05:00). Also drag&drop the .001 file.
  8. Once done, close your FTP solution.
  • If you only have a .000 file, then in your mission flight folder, rename the .000 into .sbg with the right naming of the flight as the .ys.
  • If you have a .000 file and a .001, you can either download this FileJoiner solution.
    • With the button "Add Files" select your .000 and .001 files.
    • Click on "Browse" to specify your path directory (where the .ys file is) and the name of the output file. Please enter the same name as the .ys file. Make sure to enter as well the ".sbg" extension.
    • Click on "Join".
    • Your new .sbg file should have been created.
    • Make sure your .json file hase the same name as the rest of your mission flight files.
